We tried Fresa’s Chicken al Carbon for the first time this weekend. It’s a perfect spot to pick up a great meal and eat it at home in front of the TV. Well actually, it was the first time for dinner. I’ve had breakfast tacos there once (which were awesome!!) but hadn’t gotten to try the dinner yet. This weekend was a rainy one, and this is the perfect meal for a Friday night in with a movie.
Fresa’s is an upscale version of a drive-thru, serving slow-grilled chickens with all the fixins to make tacos and fresh margarita mix to wash it all down.
We tried the Citrus Achiote chicken. It comes with Mexican rice, charro beans and corn tortillas. The salsas were great too.
The chicken is super flavorful. Ours was a little spicy but not too hot and was cooked with grilled onions and jalapeno.
It was a little messy pulling all the chicken apart for tacos, but well worth it. Fresa’s is great and I can’t wait to try everything else!
